Dave, my dear – like many many fans before me, I wish you a happy birthday and a real mode-like black celebration. There were times when no one thought you’d ever be able to celebrate your 51st birthday but like a phoenix, you rose from the ashes of your past unhealthy life and gave yourself back to your family and friends, your bandmates and fans all over the world. Thank the Lord for small mercies – but we don’t want to start any blasphemous rumours, do we?!
Talking of your songs: it took me quite several times of listening to it before I discovered all the beauty in your new album „Delta Machine“, but now it definitely has me on its hook and I just can’t get enough of it. Congratulations, I really do LOVE it and can’t wait to hear you all perform it live on stage. And tell Martin he needs to be aware of you, otherwise he is going to risk that your songwriting skills might catch up with his own which are undoubtedly legendary ones!
