Remixes 2: 81-11

Mit Remixes 2: 81-11 veröffentlichen Depeche Mode nach Remixes 81-04 ihr zweites Album mit einer Sammlung ihrer besten Remixes aus 30 Jahren Bandgeschichte sowie neuen Versionen. Unter den Remixern sind bekannte Namen wie Trentemøller, Stargate, Eric Prydz, Karlsson & Winnberg (von Miike Snow), Röyksopp, M83, UNKLE und François Kervorkian.

Die 3-CD-Box enthält außerdem Remixes der ehemaligen Depeche Mode-Mitglieder Vince Clarke und Alan Wilder. Es ist das erste Mal, dass diese beiden Musiker Stücke für ihre Ex-Kollegen neu überarbeitet haben.

Remixes 2:81-11 ist in drei Formaten erhältlich als Standard-CD, als 3-CD-Box und einer speziellen 6×12″-LP-Box. Einige Remixes können außerdem nur als Download erworben werden.

In Deutschland erschien die Compilation am 3. Juni 2011.
