Martin Gore took a break from recording the new Depeche Mode-album in New York on thursday the visit charity:water, an organization bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in developing countries. Apparently Martin is engaged in some of its water projects.
It’s unknown, in which way Martin supports the organization. But if you take a look at the picture you see him pointing to a country in western Africa. So there seems to be something specific going on. Anyway, it’s great to see Martin getting involved in charity projects. Some of you may already know charity:water from the first Twestival – a Twitter related festival, where people met up – celebrated back in 2009. People all over the world raised over $250.000 then. According to their homepage charity:water helps more than 2.500.000 people in 20 countries getting clean water. So, don’t hesitate to raise your fund!
