Great news for all longtime fans of Depeche Mode: Though he never wanted to work with Depeche Mode again, Producer Flood (Violator, 1990 /Songs Of Faith And Devotion, 1993) will be mixing the new album for the band.
When recording Songs of Faith And Devotion Depeche Mode were in a really bad state. While everyone had his own opinion about the album should sound like, it was Flood’s job to convey, not just musically. Though the album was a great success (and one of the best Depeche Mode albums ever), Flood was fed up after all and pledged to himself not to work with the band anymore. Fortunately, after 20 years, he’s changed his opinion as the band is in full harmony these days.
